Barclay Park is a 1.4 acre green open space in West Chester, PA. Since the 1860s it has been historically important in the borough. When in 2013 it was subdivided for houses, alarmed and energized citizens and local officials saved it from destruction. Today it remains, as it has been for over 150 years – without hard surface and active recreation equipment – as a green and serene place of repose, a natural space to relax, play, picnic, and imagine!
